MANILA, Philippines — Senatorial candidate Raul Lambino said on Monday that he would reveal the source of his information on what later turned out to be false, that the Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) on the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte. When pressed as to where he got the information, Lambino said: “It is an information, well, it is an information that I’ve heard, as to if that information is true or not, I cannot give you a categorical answer.” However, he later said that “we can assume that the information that reached us wasn’t true after [it] came from the Supreme Court. However, the high court did not issue any TRO, prompting the NBI to accuse him of “unlawful use of means of publication or unlawful utterances.” Lambino said such a move is expected, adding that this is “one of the factors to be considered” when one is entering politics.
